A computer-implemented method that includes Submitting, to a content server, a request for page content, receiving, from the content server, the page content, displaying, via a graphi cal user interface, the page content, determining whether a user has viewed the page content for at least a threshold period of time, sending to an advertisement server, in response to at least determining that the user has viewed the page content for at least the threshold period of time, an ad-request for an advertisement to be displayed in association with the page content, the ad request specifying keywords associated with the page content displayed, receiving, from the advertisement server, an advertisement based on the key words, and displaying the advertisement via the graphical user interface.
