In an embodiment, a client device can include a presentation component configured to render a interface on a display of the device , the user interface comprising a feed with scrollable content items that are continuously updated based on information provided by a server device associated with the feed. The client device can further include an input component configured to facilitate navigation of the feed, and an engagement component configured to identify a content item included in the feed that is associated with a defined level of user engagement based in part on visibility of the content item as presented via the display in response to the navigation of the feed .
